Link to full size, it’s a big one
I said I have a lot of thoughts about shoes and the woeful mistakes even seasoned professional artists make with them, and I wasn’t kidding. Here’s a lot of words about high heels, in a constructive way.

Kevin’s Figure Sketches

I think what I don’t like about most tutorials regarding drawing figures, the sort of tutorials you find on sites like Deviantart, is that they’re incredible shallow and often quite stiff, the knowledge and actual understanding you’ll get from them is minimal at best.

I agree with you Saggers, Deviantart’s tutorials generally aren’t all that helpful for an in-depth knowledge and to be honest some of the ones I’ve checked out look incorrectly drawn anyway.

Late is better than never, right?(I must thank my friend Holly of Elite Cosplay for turning me onto Worbla, and Kamui’s great tutorials! On Kamui’s site there’s more in-depth videos on how to work with Worbla and Wonderflex)

This is SUPER helpful and easy to follow! Armor and props can seem really intimidating, but this tutorial makes me want to jump right in!!

I seriously need to see about getting this stuff.

Here is a link to the image in its own window, since I can’t seem to enlarge it from my dashboard.

…: A Tutorial Masterpost

norisus:

I said that I’d show some tutorials I have saved up to someone, but decided that I’d just go ahead and post most of what I have stored away and create a sort of masterpost out of it. (I figure it’ll help me just as much since, as of now, they’re all pretty scattered between my Tumblr and bookmarks)

A lot of these are hosted on my personal Tumblr, but I don’t change my url so it’s pretty safe to bookmark them there (and not have to worry about the url changing) if you don’t wish to reblog them yourself for whatever reason.

Feline tutorials:

Canine tutorials:

Avian tutorials:

Human(oid) tutorials:

Dragon tutorials (and bat wings):

Equine tutorials:

Cervine tutorials:

Ursine tutorials:

Miscellaneous animal tutorials:

Background and objects tutorials:

Clothing tutorials:

General painting, drawing, and style tips:

Hope these help!

Sorry this was so darn long D:. tried to make it as short as possible. I’ve been asked quite a few times on how I paint before now, and I’ve never made an actual tutorial until now. Hope this helps clear some stuff up :).

Painting tutorial: get some fucking oil paints and fucking paint on some canvas you bunch of bastards

….what is wrong with you?

here, I do oil paintings too (this is unfinished):

It’s great to do traditional, but there’s nothing wrong with digital, and there are ups and downs to both mediums, so sit your ass down, and if you don’t want to learn this, then leave it for those who want to learn digital mediums.

DIY Lace Inset Tee Shirt Restyle Tutorial from Handmade Mess here. I am really impressed by how detailed this tutorial is. She even tells you what key words to use when searching for lace. She used twin needles for the jersey (and those run about $4). For 25 pages of altered DIY tee shirts go here: truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/tee-shirt

This becomes an upcycle project when you use threadbare sheets, old shirts, or towels which aren’t terribly useful as towels anymore. =^.^= If you go with the towels, cut the strips a bit more narrow to make assembly easier. If the strips are less than an inch across and still too snug to push through with no tools, break out a crochet hook! (Or even a bobby pin)
No Sew Rag Rugs Rule!
